Beverly Hills Cop star Eddie Murphy has dumped girlfriend Mel B (of Spice Girl fame) and claims the child she’s carrying isn’t his: “You’re being presumptuous because we’re not together anymore. And I don’t know whose child it is until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions.”
Just hours earlier, Mel had been quoted as saying “We’re in love and get on really well. I can’t wait to spend Christmas with him and I can’t wait to have this baby.
“All the children have met and get on too - it’s like a great big happy family.”
However, rumours are that their families aren’t getting along.
Mel and Eddie seemed to have been an odd match in any case - having met through mutal friends at a party.
“I’m not gonna fall for the banana in the tail pipe!?”
In other news, Eddie is coming back to make a fourth go in the Beverly Hills Cop saga - Beverly Hills Cop 4 (catchy title).
“Axel Foley is one of the great action-comedy characters, a character that Eddie loves. I’m lucky enough to help bring it back,” said producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. “This genre is missing from the landscape.”
Whether Eddie can bring back some of the adult humour from the first two installments remains to be seen. Part three was good but didn’t bring in close to the huge takings that the first two movies did:

Beverly Hills Cop 3 (1994) — $43 million
