When refused a ride on an 18-wheeler, Emmett Shane Clay, 45, decided it be a good idea to just grab on anyways. Unfortunately for him, he lost his grip and was hit by the tractor-trailer. He died.
Clay fell as the truck rounded a curve on a frontage road along Interstate 385.
