Condoleezza ‘Watermelon’ Test Question Uproar

Political correctness gone nuts or genuinely racist?

A maths final test question at Bellevue Community College read “Condoleezza holds a watermelon just over the edge of the roof of the 300-foot Federal Building, and tosses it up with a velocity of 20 feet per second.”. The question went on to ask when the watermelon hit the ground, based on a formula provided.

BCC spokesman Bob Adams said the college has received emails asking how the question could have be drawn up.

Chelsey Richardson, 25 and a student at BCC, said she found the question whilst studying for a math test in March, and brought it to the attention of officals along with others.

The teacher who wrote the question wasn’t fired but has apologised and requested cultural sensitivity training.
