Guess the guy (hint: left)
Santhi Soundarajan, a silver medalist at the Asian Games in Doha, is looking to have her medal revoked as it turns out she isn’t really a she - she’s a he.
All became apparent as soon as Santhi won the medal; probably down to what she was “packing” - and we ain’t talking ’bout a 9mm (well judging by our previous story, that measurement might be right!).
“In our days, such tests were never conducted. However, nowadays the prize money is so high that athletes take to short-cuts to win. The sport is not what it used to be once. Gender verification tests should be brought back in a big way,” Ashwini Kumar, former IOC member, told CNN-IBN on Sunday.
